Globe Telecom and Apple Bring iPhone 3G to Philippines

Last June 10, 2008, Globe Telecom and Apple® announced that they will be bringing the highly anticipated iPhone™ 3G to the Philippines later this year.
It combines all the revolutionary features of iPhone with 3G networking, built-in GPS, and iPhone 2.0 software. “We are very excited to be working with Apple to bring Filipino consumers iPhone 3G later this year,” said Gerardo C. Ablaza, Jr. president and CEO of Globe Telecom. The iPhone 3G will be available to Globe’s postpaid and prepaid subscribers in the Philippines later this year.

the price is not yet released until now
it’s around 15-16Kphp(335-355 USD ) someone’s selling this phone on tipidpc(I think this is 1st hand price but not really sure if it is fake or real)
but before(2-3 years ago) it was really expensive
15-16K? maybe it is a iphone not iphone 3G…. the globe has yet to release a price on the unit and I thought they got exclusive rights to sell this i phone 3g… ehhehe
i asked in GLOBE how much is the 3G iphone and it was a total rip… 41k for 8GB, and i think 47k for 16GB… and to think that iphone 3G will be more affordable than the original iphone…in the US it ranges from $199-$500…its very cheap…that’s why i bought an HTC touch instead…stylish and cool…:D
