Year Released: 2005
Resident Evil 4 was released for the GameCube on January 11, 2005. Though no-one knew it at the time, that platform’s Game of the Year had already arrived. That same year RE4 featured in IGN Top 100 list and for good reason, many of which still apply to this day: terrific atmosphere, memorable action sequences, relentless AI, tight controls, and a surprisingly robust weapon system, all encased in a visual package that is easily the most graphically impressive ever seen on the platform.
An amazing game in its own right, RE4 is made all the more remarkable in that, as the sixth entry in the long-running series, it carried the weight and expectation of an entire franchise’s legacy with it. Though it retains the core essence of previous Resident Evil games, by removing vestigial, yet hallmark gameplay mechanics, RE4 managed to forge an identity all its own and in the process revitalized the flagging series.
It seems that square’s FFXIII has shifted from single platform to multiplatform. July 14 microsoft announced in its E3 press conference that FFXIII will be coming to the xbox 360 at the same time and date as its ps3 counterpart together with other square titles such as “the last remnant” and “star ocean: the last hope”.
Get ready for one of the game industry’s biggest gaming events of the year: E3 which takes place this year in LA from july 15-17. Three days of games, gadgets, and booth babes? hahaha. This year, as with other years, companies such as EA, ubisoft, sony, microsoft, squaresoft, etc. will be announcing updates on games such as gears of war 2, killzone 2, final fantasy versus, and oh so much more!
Blizzard made diablo fans drool as they show trailers on their upcoming game DIABLO 3, The father of dungeon crawling+rpg+hack and slash, I’m too dumb to know what specific genre does Diablo belong. Diablo’s gameplay is a tried and tested highly addictive formula to make every players glued on to their seats and become a loner then forget about their girlfriend for a few months. I think every mmorpg that was produced in the market has diablo 2 style of game play(look at the freaking item inventory does it ring a bell??) specially MU online it’s so diabloish and even the graphics arrghh!!Here is a screen shot of the characters that was introduced on the trailer…
Red alert 3 is coming this October 2008, after 7 long years of waiting the sequel to the one of the most successful RTS game is finally arriving.Yes I know everyone misses the good old kirov the fat blimp with a deadly payload or the sexy Tanya with her C4 mayhem, they have added a new faction on this series the Empire of the Rising Sun. Based on some random comments on youtube and on the site itself I think RA 3 was not developed by the original RA 2 development team, since Westwood(already purchased by EA games)had a hiatus on the original development team. Just hold onto your piggy bank cause the system requirements for this game might make us itch for a total PC upgrade(also in preparation for Starcraft 2).
